Problem :

The platform aimed to convert web users to a mobile app while engaging a younger audience. Key issues included complex navigation, lack of emotional connection, and low discoverability of new manga titles. Existing apps often overwhelmed users with cluttered interfaces or poor personalization, leading to short engagement times and low subscription conversion.

Solution :

I designed a clean, structured interface combining visual simplicity with functionality. Features like intuitive search, transparent filter modals, and a visual review grid were implemented to improve discovery and engagement. Theme customization and profile structuring foster emotional connection and user retention while supporting premium conversion.

Challenge :

Balancing simplicity with richness of content was difficult. Designing transparent modals without distracting users and ensuring theme personalization maintained contrast and readability were significant hurdles. Iterative testing and UX research guided refinements, resulting in a cohesive, intuitive interface.

Summary :

The project achieved a visually comfortable and emotionally engaging experience, improving content discoverability and retention. Thoughtful profile design and theme personalization encouraged social interaction and premium subscriptions, creating a seamless bridge from web to mobile engagement.
